Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

ETS & Associates Behavioral Health provides CBT which is a type of psychotherapy that combines cognitive therapy and behavior therapy to help individuals manage their problems by changing how they think and behave. It is based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence a person's quality of life, and that changing thought patterns can affect feelings and behaviors. Unlike other psychotherapies, CBT focuses on current problems and finding solutions rather than dealing primarily with the past.

Expressive Art Therapy

Expressive Art Therapy

We incorporate diverse art forms—such as movement, drawing, painting, sculpting, music, writing, sound, and improvisation—in a supportive environment to promote growth and healing. Unlike diagnostic approaches, this therapy offers a humanistic experience that harnesses the power of imagination and the integrative potential of the arts.

Art therapy is a therapeutic application of emotions, providing a canvas for expression in a positive way. This canvas can be any medium that helps individuals express themselves. By creating art and reflecting on the process and products, individuals can better understand themselves and others. Art therapy engages both hemispheres of the brain: nonverbal artistic expression utilizes the right brain, while writing involves the left brain.

It employs various mediums such as art, photographs, and creative processes, along with client reactions, to reveal an individual’s growth, skills, personality, desires, concerns, and conflicts. The practice is grounded in human developmental and psychological theories and applied across a broad spectrum of assessment and treatment models. These models include educational, psychodynamic, cognitive, transpersonal, and other therapeutic approaches.

Art Therapy aids in:

  • Resolving internal and interpersonal conflicts

  • Developing interpersonal and social skills

  • Managing attitudes and reducing stress and anxiety

  • Enhancing self-esteem and self-awareness

  • Facilitating emotional processing
